Definely Algarve Offsite
After several years without gathering the entire company in one place, Definely were looking to help reconnect colleagues, strengthen relationships, and create space for meaningful conversations away from daily work.
For this project, our company offsite planning focused on finding a destination that offered both privacy and memorable experiences. The team came together in the beautiful hills of Ombria in Portugal's Algarve region, surrounded by rolling countryside, golf courses, and views stretching across the landscape.
The programme combined structured sessions with plenty of time for informal connection. Mornings were dedicated to workshops and group discussions, giving teams the opportunity to align on priorities, share ideas, and reflect on future goals. Rather than filling every hour with activities, the schedule was designed to leave room for spontaneous conversations and genuine interaction.
One of the highlights was a jeep safari through the Algarve countryside, taking the group off the beaten track to explore local villages and hidden viewpoints. A private wine tasting introduced the team to regional wines and provided a relaxed setting for colleagues to spend time together outside of work.
As the sun set, the group gathered for a private dinner party at an exclusive beach club. With great food, music, and the ocean as a backdrop, the evening became a celebration of the people behind the company and the relationships that had been built over the years.
Between activities, many team members simply enjoyed the opportunity to slow down, relax, and spend time together. Whether by the pool, over coffee, or during evening drinks, the offsite created countless moments for connection that would have been impossible in a virtual meeting.
The result was exactly what we had hoped for: stronger relationships, renewed energy, and a team that returned home feeling more connected than they had in years. It was a reminder that successful company offsite planning is not just about activities and logistics, but about creating the right environment for people to come together.
